For this album I continued to experiment with a different style, relying solely on guitar (and a mobile phone on one track!) to shape the sound.

I chose not to incorporate field recordings in this album. Given the minimal nature of the music, I wanted listeners to experience it within their own surroundings, allowing each listen to feel unique based on the environment at that given moment.

Whether the setting is calm or bustling, and whether the noise is natural or human-generated, listeners are invited to perceive external sounds not as distractions but as part of the movement and interaction with the music.

Every sound is worth thinking about. I hope you enjoy!

The goal of One Month Album was to produce either 10 separate tracks or 35 minutes worth of original material, with the requirement that all material be written and recorded during the month of October 2024.

With its intricate soundscapes and delicate melody, it captures the essence of being immersed in nature. The track aims to evoke a sense of tranquility for listeners wanting to relax, focus, sleep or meditate.

The nature sounds were recorded in Wendover Woods at 6am on the morning of 6th May. My birthday!

Land Healer combines the sound of trees rustling in the breeze with atmospheric synths & pads. Perfect for anyone wanting a sense of calmness and appreciation for the stillness of nature and rural environments.

This song was inspired by the book Land Healer by Jake Fiennes. A compelling read!

This song will be part of a collection inspired by noises heard in the city.

The idea initially came from my attitude toward sound in the city environment, especially human-generated noise, which I considered both intrusive and undesirable.

This song features a recording of a loud metal gate being opened/closed late at night.

I wanted to transform the noise into a soundscape of calming tones that was enjoyable rather than unpleasant.

I manipulated the sound to create a low percussive element weaving into the music throughout and using it as a unique, intriguing texture within the music.

The aim was to take an annoying sound and create something likeable!
